Individual Work
A place to understand what keeps showing up in your relationships, decisions, questions, and changing seasons of life.
Individual work is conversation-centered and reflective. We begin with what is actually happening in your life, not with a predetermined curriculum or a version of who you think you should be by now.
The Enneagram may help us understand the automatic patterns that quietly shape how we respond. Mindful attention helps us notice it while it is happening. From there, we can begin exploring what the pattern is trying to do and whether it is what this moment actually needs.
You might be ready for individual work if...
You know your Enneagram type but keep finding yourself in the same reactions.
You understand yourself intellectually, but that understanding is not changing what happens in the moment.
You spend much of your life helping other people and have difficulty noticing what you need.

You are navigating a transition, loss, spiritual question, or future that no longer looks the way you expected.
A familiar strategy is still working in some parts of your life but creating problems in others.
You want greater self-understanding without turning the work into another way to criticize yourself.

You do not need to arrive with the right language or a fully formed goal.
We can begin with the question that is already here.
WHAT WE PAY ATTENTION TO
The pattern is not the enemy
Most of our patterns developed for a reason. They helped us find connection, safety, competence, stability, or some way of moving through experiences we did not yet know how to navigate.
Having patterns in our personality was never the problem. It's when a familiar strategy gets so automatic it stops feeling like a choice.
01
Notice
What keeps happening?
We begin by paying attention to the pattern as it appears in your relationships, work, helping roles, spiritual life, decisions, or reactions.
What is the pattern trying to do?
Rather than judging the response, we get curious about the wisdom it carries, what it protects, and why it feels necessary.
02
Understand
03
Practice
What does this moment need?
Awareness creates a pause. Within that pause, you can begin experimenting with a response that is more intentional and better suited to the present.
The part of us reaching for the light switch is not the enemy.
It may be the part that once had no other way.
ONGOING INDIVIDUAL WORK
Individual Enneagram Coaching
Enneagram-informed coaching, reflection, and pattern work grounded in the life you are actually living.
Knowing your Enneagram type can explain a great deal. It does not automatically change what happens when you feel uncertain, overwhelmed, disappointed, stuck, or under pressure.
Individual coaching creates space to notice those patterns while they are actually happening.
You may find yourself returning to the same conflict, over-functioning when things feel unstable, disappearing from your own priorities, or relying on a strategy that has served you well but is beginning to cost more than it used to.
Rather than trying to eliminate the pattern, we become curious about it. We pay attention to what it is trying to accomplish, what wisdom it carries, and what becomes possible when it no longer has to provide the only answer.
You are not trying to become a different person.
You are learning how to recognize the pattern sooner, understand what it is trying to do, and keep its first response from becoming your only response.

QUESTIONS OF MEANING AND SPIRITUAL LIFE
Spiritual Direction
A reflective space for faith, uncertainty, meaning, identity, loss, and the questions that do not restore themselves quickly.
Spiritual companionship is not about giving you the right answers or directing you toward a particular belief system. It is a place to pay attention to what is shifting, what has fallen away, what still feels alive, and what may be asking for your attention.
My own formation includes seminary, ordained ministry, hospital chaplaincy, contemplative practice, more than seven years of receiving spiritual direction, and a long process of deconstruction and spiritual rebuilding. My current spiritual life draws from contemplative Christianity, Buddhist wisdom, mindfulness, meditation, psychology, and the experience of remaining with questions longer than I once thought I could.
You do not need to identify with a particular tradition. Spiritual language is welcome, but never required or imposed. The Enneagram may be part of this work when it is useful. It does not have to be the center of every conversation.
You might bring...
A changing relationship with faith or religious identity
Questions of meaning, purpose, vocation, or belonging
Grief, loss, or a season that has changed your assumptions
A desire to develop a contemplative or mindfulness practice
The experience of living between an old framework and one that has not yet taken shape
Curiosity about how Enneagram patterns affect spiritual life

Enneagram Typing Consultation
A PLACE TO BEGIN
One conversation, not a verdict from a quiz.
The Process
Online assessments can provide useful information, but they often focus on behavior. The Enneagram asks a different question: what motivation, focus of attention, or adaptive strategy might be operating beneath the behavior?
In a typing consultation, I will guide you through a structured conversation about the patterns you recognize across different relationships, seasons, and circumstances. I will listen for recurring themes, offer questions and observations, and help you identify the possibilities that may be most useful to explore.
I will not assign you a type, but we will work to determine a working hypothesis of your type. Only you can determine which pattern most accurately reflects your experience.
You will leave with…
One or two type possibilities to explore more closely
A clearer understanding of the motivations beneath those possibilities
Specific patterns to observe in daily life
Recommended resources for continued exploration
A clearer next step, even if certainty does not arrive during the consultation
Format: Virtual
Length: 60-90 minutes
Investment: $125 per session
Frequency: One Time
Includes: Follow-up resources and suggested observations
What you can expect from me
Curiosity without judgment
We can understand a pattern more clearly when we stop treating it as proof that something is wrong with us.
Presence before fixing
Not every difficult experience needs to be quickly solved, reframed, or turned into a lesson.
Experience before labels
Your type matters only when it helps you recognize what is happening in your actual life.
Choice not prescription
I will not hand you a universal growth formula. We will pay attention to what this moment may be asking of you.
Knowing what this work is, and what it is not
Paths to Presence offers Enneagram education, coaching, reflective conversation, and spiritual companionship. These services can support self-observation, discernment, meaning-making, and the practice of responding more intentionally.
This work is not psychotherapy, mental health diagnosis, clinical treatment, or crisis care. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If something arises that would be better supported by a licensed mental health professional, I will name that honestly and encourage appropriate care.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or are at risk of harming yourself or someone else, call or text 988 in the United States or contact local emergency services.
You do not need to know exactly what to call the work yet
The goal is not to arrive with certainty.
The goal is to begin with the question that is already here.
If something on this page feels familiar, a free, 15-minute Discovery Call gives us a chance to talk about what is happening and whether working together makes sense.
